Shrink-wrap is a thermoplastic material that, when heated,
shrinks up to 25 to 30% of it's surface dimension forming a protective coating
over the surface of your boat, car or industrial machine. New boats are the most
familiar use of shrink wrap. They are normally completely wrap at the factory
before shipping to protect them on the way to the distributor or dealer. some
cars are also shipped from the factory to local dealers with a sheet of shrink
over the hood and front fenders to protect it from rocks and other flying items
that can damage them.
